Payment 101: threshold, payment details, proof of transaction and reports

We understand that receiving your hard-earned commissions in a timely manner is of utmost importance. To ensure your payments are seamless, we offer two primary payment methods:

  • PayPal: There is no payout threshold in place. You will receive your payout on a monthly basis, provided that you have earned a commission. 

  • Classic bank transfer: If you prefer traditional banking, we've got you covered. However, please note that for bank transfers, there's a minimum payment threshold.

  • Threshold: For those who opt for classic bank transfers, we have a payment threshold of 50 EUR (or its equivalent in your local currency). This means you'll need to accumulate at least €50 in earnings before we process your payment. Rest assured, reaching this milestone is entirely achievable, especially for our dedicated partners.

To enter or update your payment details, follow these steps:

Log in to your account and click on the user icon: 

  1. Payment details:
    • Choose PayPal or bank transfer and enter the country of your bank first.
      • For PayPal, enter the email address.
      • For bank transfers, fill out all required fields (the form will adjust based on the bank's country).
    • Do not forget to click on the save button. You should see a green banner confirming the saving of your details.
  2. Ensure all account details are filled out in international format, including:
      • Name and surname
      • Full personal address
      • Phone number with country code and no spaces (e.g., +12345678900 for the USA, +441234567890 for the UK)

 

Taxation details:

If you are subject to VAT, please include your valid VAT ID in the payment details section to comply with tax regulations.
The breakdown of the taxation amount will appear on the invoice. However, in the payment confirmation, it will be shown as a single total amount along with the rest of the charges.

Timing caution:

Avoid making changes to your payment details between the last few days of the month and the 5th working day of the following month. Altering your payment information during this period can create unnecessary delays in the payment process.

At GetYourGuide we are committed to swiftly delivering your hard-earned commissions. Once you've surpassed the payment threshold (applicable for bank transfers) and ensured accurate entry of your payment and personal details:

  • Payment processing should conclude by the 10th working day of each month, you will receive via email a payment confirmation document.
  • Invoices will be available from the 2nd working day of each month in the Payments section of your account, making it easy for you to keep track of your earnings.

While we aim for a consistent payment schedule, slight variations may occur due to external factors. Rest assured, we make every effort to ensure timely commission delivery.

Timing is crucial, so remember: refrain from altering your payment details between the last few days of the month and the 10th of the following month. Changes during this period may cause unnecessary delays. To receive your commissions promptly, update your details well in advance or after the 5th of the month.

At GetYourGuide, we believe in rewarding our partners for their efforts. Here's a breakdown of our commission rates and tiers:

  • Base commission: All partners who sign up for the GetYourGuide partner program automatically receive a base commission of 8%.
  • Customised commission rates for advanced partnerships: We offer customised rates for advanced partnerships and top-performing partners who have established a strong working relationship with us.

You will receive three different documents:

  1. Booking export: An Excel file with a detailed breakdown of all bookings and outstanding payments from the referred month.
  2. Invoice: Generated on the 2nd working day of each month for bookings that occurred in the previous month. It shows the amount of commissions you generated for that month. Note that receiving an invoice does not guarantee payment for that month. Payment depends on meeting the threshold (EUR 50 for bank transfers) and completing all necessary details.
  3. Payment confirmation: This document indicates that the payment has been completed and is sent via email. You can check your bank account once you receive this confirmation. It is typically issued within 10 working days, depending on bank or PayPal processing times.

 

Important notes:

If invoices are generated but payments are delayed due to thresholds, you will receive a payment confirmation covering multiple invoices once the threshold is met.
If you receive a payment confirmation but do not see the payout, please contact us for further investigation.

How to receive Invoices and payment confirmations via email:

  1. Go to Notification preferences.
  2. Click "Add notification."
  3. Choose "Accounting" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Assign a specific email address.

How to view/download invoice:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the user icon (top right) > Payment.
  3. Click on the PDF file for the desired receipt.

We are currently addressing a temporary issue that impacts the accuracy of our general performance reports, specifically affecting the "Your next payout" section in your monthly earnings overview.

For a precise earnings overview during this period, we recommend utilising the booking overview in your partner account. Here are key points to consider:

  • System updates: Please note that system updates may take up to 24 hours. Check the day after booking for the most up-to-date information.

  • Adjust date range: Verify that the date range is adjusted correctly to capture the relevant period, especially:
    • Booking Date: We suggest selecting "any time."
    • Travel Date: Select the month you are inquiring about.
  • Refresh overview: Click the "Update" button to refresh the overview and access the latest information.
