Switching to domestic bank transfers

As of September 2024, GetYourGuide has made a significant update to our payment system. We have transitioned to domestic bank transfers using a banking service or partnership that allows us to send money to your local bank account as if it were a domestic transfer. This change aims to streamline the payment process, making it faster and more convenient for our partners.

Local bank transfers within a country are conducted in the local currency. For example, if your bank account is in Australia, the accepted currency will be Australian Dollars (AUD). You will receive your payment as a domestic bank transfer, which typically incurs lower fees and faster processing times compared to international transfers.

To ensure a smooth transition and to receive your payments without any issues, you need to make sure all your bank details are up-to-date and suitable for domestic transfers. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Enter your payment details
    • Start by selecting the country of your bank. 
    • Fill out all shown field.
    • Press the save button
    • You should see a green banner confirming the change
  • Ensure all account details
    Fill out all the necessary information in the international format to avoid any delays or errors in the payment process. This includes:
    • Name and Surname: Ensure your full name matches the name on your bank account.
    • Full Personal Address: Include your complete address to avoid any discrepancies.
    • Phone Number with Country Code: Enter your phone number in the international format without spaces. For example, +12345678900 for the USA or +441234567890 for the UK.
