Onboarding for Agents of Association/Host agency

This guide will walk you through the essential steps to ensure your partner account as a member of a Travel agency association/host agency is set up correctly, allowing you to easily sign up to our program.

Depending on the setup your host travel agency chooses, you'll need to follow a specific procedure. The different types are as follows:

  1. User access to main account: Your host needs to add you as a user to track bookings through their main account. Please contact them for assistance.
  2. Individual account setup: Sign up for your own account and manually fill out necessary details for payments directly to your host agency or, if preferred, to your own bank.
  3. Unique agent link setup: Your host agency would provide you with your own unique link to book from. Please contact them to receive it.
  4. General partner link: Your host agency would provide you with their partner link to book through. Please contact them for this information.

Click on the Sign Up link to be directed to the GetYourGuide Partner Center.

  1. Click on Sign Up button to proceed
  2. Enter your email and password.
  3. Select "I am a Travel Agent"

  1. Fill in your name and surname
  2. Enter your organization name
  3. select your preferred currency (to know which currency are available check our guide: Change the currency)
  4. Click Next
  5. Check your email for an activation link (make sure to check your spam folder)
  6. Click on the link and access the portal

You will need to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security. You can set it up using one of the following methods:

  1. SMS through your mobile phone
  2. Authentication app

Before logging in, please ensure you're accessing the correct account type:

  • Partner account: Book for your customers, manage your account details, reports, and payments. Ensure "partner" is in the URL. Screenshot 2024-02-19 at 18.20.11.png
  • Customer account: Be aware that accessing your account without "partner" in the URL means you're on the customer page. Bookings made here won't generate commissions.

icons8-6-64.pngHow to set up payments to your Host Agency

If your host agency is supposed to receive payments, make sure to complete all the following steps to set up your account correctly.

  • Notification settings: Set up the host agent email address for accounting to receive all necessary invoices and payment confirmations.

  • Account details:
    • Name and surname
    • Full personal address
    • Phone number with country code and no spaces (e.g., +12345678900 for the USA, +441234567890 for the UK)

  • Host Agency payment details:
    • Request and manually enter the payment details from your host agency.
    • Choose between PayPal or bank transfer and enter the country of your bank first.
      • For PayPal, only the email address is required.
      • For bank transfers, select the bank's country and fill out all shown fields.
    • Do not forget to click on the save button. You should see a green banner confirming the saving of your details.

  • VAT Details:
    Enter your VAT details, if necessary.
